About Saint Athanasius
Saint Athanasius (c. 296–373) was a courageous bishop of Alexandria and a champion of orthodox faith during the Arian controversy. Known as the “Father of Orthodoxy,” he defended the divinity of Christ at great personal cost and helped shape the Nicene Creed.
Prayer for His Feast Day
Eternal Father, you raised up Saint Athanasius as a fearless defender of the divinity of your Son. Through his intercession, strengthen our faith in Christ’s true nature and keep us steadfast in the truth of the Gospel. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
